I have seen people playing photohunt games and it looks like fun so, with the help of Vegan Momma and Lalla-Mira I can announce a little photoshow game. I thought of taking pictures of things that were within 100 meters of your home. Here are mine…
10 meters away
20 meters away
50 meters away
100 meters away
Here’s how to play:
- Take 4 photos within 100 meters of where you live, they can be of anything so long as it’s within 100 meters of your front door.
- Add your name to this list with a link to your 100 meters post and display it on your blog
- Tag two or more of your friends to participate and get them to do the same.

Oh I love your photos! I’m amazed at all those boats that you have shown. Are they houseboats?
I took pictures of leaves yesterday. My daughter an I were on a leaf hunt. I’ll post a few pictures from outside later today, tag them. Will you be adding people who participate to this list? Oh by the way you are included in one of my posts today. It’s about “Community”.

to you tell you the truth Opal, I’ve never tagged anyone before! so I don’t know what the dealio is with tagging, I suppose it’s a good idea to link to the people doing it, what else should I do?
oh and yes, they are houseboats. I live in an area called Little Venice where cyclists ignore the signs and whizz by you on a 4 foot wide canal-side pathway!

Let me get this straight, so this is about taking pictures of things -not people- within distances approximatively like the ones you chose from one’s house? How about if we live in a boring neighborhood?
I will definitely post my pictures soon too, let’s say some time during next week?
I suggest that people you’ve tagged should tag a few of their readers or favorite blogs as well, and see how this little game keeps growing.
I think we should do this more often, why not once a month? But with a new theme each time. Maybe next time we’ll take pictures of 3 things from one’s house or room. Things that are not too common, things that are artistic, or even ugly. We’ll have this game set by one of us each time (people taking part/interested in this game).
Yay! Sounds exciting!
Don’t let me put off my participation for too long, give me a deadline!

You could give this post a theme perhaps something like “What’s Going On In Your World” or something like that. You’ve tagged two people so I would include a line that says link back to the original poster and I’ll include you in this post…I have an example of a tag http://veganmomma.com/blog/2007/09/21/dang-quit-tagging-me-already/ as you an see you the original author would be included in every one that plays the game. What I would do is add your name to the above llist and Lalla and Vegan Momma (me) would be the people you tagged. iRonnie was the one that started that tag and if you scroll down to the bottom you will see her name appearing first.

Opal, thanks for the info and Mira, I’d love this to become a regular thing, each person deciding what the next them will be.
lets call this one “100 meters” and it can be 4 pictures made within 100 meters of your own house. They can be of anything as long as it’s within 100 meters!
I have a pretty boring neighbourhood too, if I’d walked in the other direction you would have only seen pictures of peoples houses! (and dirty washing) lol
I’ll edit the post to reflect the theme you helped me choose, thanks for your help you two!

Oh no! It’s not working on Sharon’s blog. If it suddenly decides not to work here too, I’ll be so disappointed.
I see that Opal and I agree on giving a theme to the game. “100 meters from home” sounds good!

hopefully, Sharon has the latest version of CL . I know that the latest update has it parsing a LOT more peoples feeds now.

Now the game is neat and clear! It’s also good that you didn’t set a deadline, it would spoil the fun, it’s only some people like me who need mental deadlines to keep themselves organized.
What am I missing without feedburner? Should I try to activate it again and see if CL works or not?

i visited your feed address with /feed/ and it took me to a feedburner link with no extra bits but your CL link under your comment links direct to your blog. so here at FiddyP everything seems peachy!
I think to give it a day or two before activating it again and see what happens.. I know fetch_rss keeps a cache so that might be what’s affecting you at TDN.
I look forward to seeing your 100 meters pics!

Thanks Sharon, it does look nice but just wait until it gets dark and the groups of youth club rejects start hanging around on the corners in a skulky manner or the eejits that spend all night whizzing up and down the street on their super loud 30mph mopeds.
Jalaj: I had to scale down to 800×600 so they wouldn’t be too large to upload, it’s an 8.1MP camera by Sony. I was pretty pleased with the macro function on the leaf so I guess it’s not a bad camera

I will be posting my pictures tomorrow. I took them today. I already alerted my tags so they are ready to play. i agree that is an excellent macro of the leaf. what is the zoom on your camera? I am predictably bad at estimating distances. I can’t tell if something is 20 or 50 meters away from me, LOL.
