I love Saturdays because sometimes, early in the morning I get to watch a couple hours of TV with no one around.
Today I saw a program on Channel 4 about unsigned bands and one really stood out, not my normal musical taste but they rocked and after listening to a couple of their tracks on their Out From Animals Myspace page I was impressed.
I really like the difference between “when there were real heroes” and “listen” but also they both had elements of electronica, indie and rock in them. I like when you get samples of old educational films over parts of the track and you can zone out a bit on a track with layers of sound in them. Not too trancy though. “listen” was like this, I can imagine myself listening to this on the train.
The lyrics to “when there were real heroes” are quite good too, as well as the overall sound.
I bought their album straight away from the Out From Animals Website for a piddly three pound fiddy!
Now I feel nice for supporting an unsigned band! Here’s their latest album ad on myspace.

I’ve never heard of them but I’ll take a listen on their myspace profile. You must really like them to have dedicated a whole post to them so it’s worth a listen.
