Fiddyp land

Just a little update on how things are going in FiddyP land…

I have been taken on as a director in another company which splits me up even more so I have been unable to put much time into new tutorials for here. I have tried to keep up with the comments and do visit the blogroll a couple times per week (sorry I can’t comment most times everyone!). I’ll be making a post or two about what I’ve been doing commercially when the projects are at the 60% and beyond stage.

Contests

These are easy to post and pretty easy to manage so we’ll keep up with them! There seems to be a regular supply of Euromillions rollovers so I will keep the contest to win the Vmoda headphones for each rollover that happens. They only run for a few days and the winner is the person who successfully picks both lucky star numbers in the comment of the post.

I do have some fantastic plans for a contest that will be unlike (m)any other(s). Keep an eye out for that, I came up with the idea a while ago and it’s only now that I have the wonga to throw at it. It’s gonna be great!

uVme

I have had some fun working out some strategies for the different uVme games. I created a simple splash page for my imgames website which will be pointed to from a few different flash game type sites and sources. I like to have a quick go on darts or sudoku as a free game when I get a few minutes and see if I can send a challenge to any new player signups.

I will be offering a free fiver to people that join through my link soon. The idea is, you sign up and credit your account with a fiver (dollars, pounds or euros) and when you create a fiver worth of play then I send you your fiver back so you don’t actually have to spend the whole fiver, just create a fiver’s worth of play (if you play 10 games at 1/2 a $/£/E and win every one of them, you’ll have 7.50 $/£/E PLUS another 5 $/£/E)

Shop

The FiddyP postage shop should be getting some more listings soon too, I have a fair bit of stock to shift and as soon as I get a half a minute I’ll start putting item descriptions up. There will be an affiliate option too so you can link to the shop and get 15% commission on everything someone buys after using your link!

If there’s anything else you’d like to see here just leave a comment….

sport relief

Rhys from GospelRhys.co.uk is going to run 3 miles for sport relief - an organisation that arranges events based around sport to raise money for good causes. It gets massive exposure from the TV and press and I think Rhys is a great guy for signing up to run 3 miles even though, in his own words, he is still a relatively fat bastard!! :-)

He’s reached his goal of 101 GBP (about 202 USD) but I want you to visit his very funny blog and join the growing list of sponsors and help him raise oodles of money for great causes which will definitely go to those that need it.

You can go direct to his sponsoring page or go and read his post about running 3 miles for Sport Relief. While you’re there, check out his other great and funny posts! I am a proud sponsor of his blog and his daunting run..

iMaingo Speakers backiMaingo Speakers front

There is a winner for the iPod portable speakers! I decided to let the Euromillions results decide on who would win by putting a number between 3 and 17 on each entry on this post and whoever matches the total of the two lucky stars will win (lucky stars are between 1 and 9 with no two numbers the same). If there aren’t enough entrants to cover all 15 possible numbers and the two lucky stars add up to a number higher then the winner will be decided by the lowest number that is between 3 and the last number assigned.

That winner is Maggies Musings who was assigned the number 4 which happens to be the only number that was within the range! how convenient! You need to notify me on this post or email at the address I used to comment on your blog before Tuesday to claim your prize or it goes to the next person that matches their number to the bonus on Wednesdays’ lotto draw….

Congratulations Maggie, I’ll come over and post a message to let you know…

Euromillions

There is another rollover for the Euromillions this Friday for a whopping 21,000,000 lump sum tax free jackpot! I noticed an influx of people joining a Euromillions Syndicate for the last super jackpot and I predict a riot for this one too!

Having a syndicate with elottery really helps to win a prize (last rollover, my syndicate won 245.67GBP!) because there’s no worries about the 2 lucky star numbers - they’re guaranteed to be matched on every draw for every syndicate because of the way the numbers are spread out for each syndicates’ members.

One thing I have noticed is an increase of people joining just for the 1 draw, it’s a fiver for 36 chances to win a prize and the chance to win even a small prize by just matching 1 of your numbers is a real bonus for people. If you fancy having a go, just visit my main elottery page and click the yellow “join now” tab. You can pay by multiple methods and just try it for a week if you like! (we have a great elottery affiliate program too)

Contest!

Bass Frequency Headphones Big

OK, I still have the sexy headphones up for grabs so if you fancy a chance at winning these VModa Bass Frequency ‘phones, just leave a comment with 2 different numbers between 1 and 9 and if your numbers match the two lucky stars on Friday 22nd Febuary then you win the set! You can see the results within minutes of the draw by checking the Euromillions Results on the sidebar up to the right. Be sure to get your guesses in early

Good Luck!

IP Neighbors

I’ve just been checking on a site to check who shares the hosting for some of my domains and I was amazed that some of my domains share their IP with over 500 other sites!

Take a look at http://www.myipneighbors.com/ and see how many other sites you are neighbors with, just input your IP or domain name and it’ll search and tell you who ‘lives’ next door.

This domain (fiddyp.co.uk) has just been moved to a new server and it’s nice to see that it’s living on it’s own (for now) :-)

This might explain why emails from certain domains go straight to the spam box, guess I’ll have to start sending them from lonely domains from now on!
